A Secretive Sleepover

Jayden blinked when she leaned over to kiss him on the forehead making him give her a warm smile before watching as she leaned back against the bed.His head turned when the nurse came in and thought about it for a moment. Who could it be? He thought to himself before shrugging at Hope's question as he stood up. He didn't know how to answer that question because he would like her to come in if it was Audrey..but Neca is another story. He hesitantly nodded "Y-yea..bring her in." He mumbled assuming it was Audrey since Neca could careless if he was at the hospital. And she isn't around the house that much...

Audrey was having a panic attack outside as she continually paced back and forth. She hasn't seen Jayden in days making his mom and herself worry,and now getting the news that he was in the hospital. What has he been up to!? When the nurse walked over to her, she stopped and turned her head with a look of concern. "So?" She asked wanting an answer right away. "You can go ahead." The nurse smiled as she showed her to the room. Quickly, Audrey opened the door as her eyes made in contact with Jayden's. "Jayden!" She breathed out with relief as she rushed over to him,hugging him from behind. Pulling away, she looked at Hope and took a step. "What the hell happened?" She asked as her eyes darted from Jayden to Hope continually. "And where the hell were you!?"

Hope didn't know what to say to his older sister that she was a hunter and had locked her brother up cause he tasted her blood? Oh and Why was they in the hospital? She cupped her hands together wanting Jayden to do all the talking feeling like she was about to blurt out everything about herself to her. "Well um.." she looked down at her hands.

Jayden sighed of relief seeing it was Audrey,but he flinched when she hugged him from behind. "Easy!" He groaned still feeling the pain from his stomach and all. Seeing Hope had trouble speaking, he rolled his eyes as he forced a smirk looking back at his sister. "Well...I guess, I lost track of time when I when over to Hope's house." He lied with a small smile "I wanted to call..but I forgot." He chuckled sheepishly "And about the whole..hospital thing...we were attacked." He mumbled looking down at the ground. "It was no biggy..but..yeaaa...that's how we ended up here." He breathed looking back at Hope. "Right?"

As Jayden explained, she gave him a look not believing a word of it as nodded. "Uh-huh..Attacked...by who?" She asked as she crossed her arms before looking over at Hope seeing she looked pretty beat up. If it was a hunter, she would assume Jayden would have been the one in the hospital bed. Then again, only a hunter would be able to cause that much damage to Jayden. "Nevermind..don't answer that." She raised her hand in case he would say a hunter. She didn't want Hope to know about what they really were because then that would make everything even more complicated. "Wellll...I bought snacks thinking I was gonna stay here the whole night." She chuckled as she reached for some sweets in her bag. "But it seems like Jayden can come out anytime he wants....anyways, want?" She shrugged as she held out sweets for them,trying to lighten up the mood.

Jayden's sister might think Hope is bad luck for her brother. Getting caught almost having sex, ending up beaten in the hospital though Jayden looked fine. A little brushed up and all but Hope had two cuts on each of her hands and a cut on her tummy, plus brushes. "Right." she said, smiling a little before her eyes lit up when his sister mentioned snacks "Can I just say I like her." she laughed. Sweets was a lot better than eating hospital food "I'll take sweets over crummy hospital food."

Jayden noticed that she wasn't really believing his story making him fidget a little with the ends of his shirt. Once she told him to forget it, he knew he would have to explain it to her back home without Hope being around. He would probably just end up telling her about the hunter..but keep to his original story. He blinked when she held out the sweets and shrugged. Looking at Hope, he playfully rolled his eyes and shook his head when she laughed. "Uh-huh..only because of the sweets." He breathed with a small smirk. He liked seeing Hope laugh..it made him feel a bit better about the day.

Audrey smiled and handed Hope a chocolate bar. "I don't know how hospital food taste but it sounds bad." She grimaced before covering her mouth. "Oh wait-" She realized if she was 'human' she would have had to gone to the hospital sometime. "Yeaa..hospital food isn't good." She mumbled,correcting her mistake. She handed one to Jayden and moved to sit in the chair. "Oh and..you have to catch up on school..both of you because..if you haven't realized it's a Tuesday." She chuckled as she pouted teased. "Too bad,huh?" She smirked and grabbed her bag as she took out Jayden's missing work. "Here ya go! Mom told me to give it to you since you'll be staying here over night,right?" She raised an eyebrow seeing he would want to stay with his friend. "And for gods sake get bandages Jayden." She mumbled lowly not wanting Hope to wonder why his injuries healed quickly. Looking back at Hope, she breathed a sigh. "I didn't know you where going to be here..so you got lucky or I would gotten your missing work also." She joked.

Hope tore off the wrapper after thanking Audery then glared at Jayden "Okay, well, when they come to bring me my food. Your welcome to eat it." she smirked at him as she broke of a piece of the chocolate and ate. Hope pouted not wanting to do school work seeing she didn't know how long she could be staying in the hospital "Great.. Why can't it be summer." she mumbled taking another bite. The nurse came in looking at Hope "Miss.Blacklock, where are your parents so we can call them?" she asked as Hope opened her mouth. "On a business trip." she stretch the truth "Yes, but hospital rules are we can't discharge you unless it's under the care of family member or guardian." "Well, I don't know what to tell you cause my parents don't have cell phones and wont be back until two months." Hope could sneak out and take care of herself seeing even if they let her go with her parents they couldn't take care of her wounds.

"Ah,no. You should eat it..It's yours so why share,right?" He raised an eyebrow with a small smirk. He looked at Audrey once she handed him all his missing work. Luckily, it wasn't that much,but he just didn't want to do it. "Seriously?" He mumbled looking down at it unamused before hearing Hope. "Because that's how perfect life is,I guess." He mumbled with a slight shrug.Hearing what his sister mumbled, he rolled his eyes "Righttt ..bandages." He breathed before turning his attention to the nurse as she came in. He slightly nibbled on his lower lip as they talked about contacting her parents if not she wouldn't be allowed to leave. "A guardian?" He thought aloud. Guardians aren't always blood related..he thought about it a bit further not sure if it was the right thing to do since Neca would be around. He shrugged the thought away.

Audrey took out a piece of chocolate to nibble on it herself before looking at the nurse. She went back to nibbling on the piece of chocolate as she took out her phone surfing the web. Once she heard that Hope needed her parents to be present in order for her to leave, she slightly lifted her head up when Hope said they were on a business trip. "They will be back eventually,right?" She raised an eyebrow before remembering what Hope told her about her dad drinking. "Well...what if I am her guardian? I am 21." She raised her shoulders not sure if that would cut it.

The nurse looked over at the woman "Yes, we could do that." Hope needed lots of care and made sure her stitches didn't come lose, something her parents wouldn't bother avoiding. "If you come with me we can start on the papers." the nurse smiled kindly. Hope looked at Jayden confused of his sister's offer what is Neca comes over? "Oh, no." she took a bite out of her chocolate "You're trying hospital food even if I have to case you though this building. You will try it."

Jayden slightly face-palmed when Audrey offered. Was she being brainless at the moment? He sighed as he watched her walk off with the nurse to fill out some papers. He sighed with a shrug for her response when she looked at him confused. "No, I am not." He shook his head. "That delicious food is meant for you and you only...and while we are on that note." He grabbed a hold of her chocolate,quickly pulling it from her hand. "Yoink!" He smirked,holding it up. "This isn't very good for you..there is a reason why in hospital they have you eating healthy food,don't you think? Might be tasteless..but I think you'll manage." He teased as he moved to sit on the chair. "Now, if you don't mind me..I'll get started on my missing work." He smirked as he grabbed a hold of his work. He glanced up at her as he breathed a small chuckle.

Hope pouted at Jayden once he took her chocolate away "Who gives you the right to tell me what I should or shouldn't eat?" she asked eying him playfully, leaning back she turned on the TV seeing she stuck in a bed. "Mind giving me your answers so I don't have to bother doing mine later on." Hope asked, flipping through channels looking for something to watch "Nope, nope." she looked at the vane in her arm tempted to rip it out and go for a walk. "Can I have my chocolate back?"

"No one does..which is why I stole it from you..and it's called stealing." He mumbled with a smirk before looking at the TV. He shook his head knowing he couldn't be distracted by the TV because he has a lot to catch upon. He looked up at her when she asked him a question making him sigh. "Mm..let me think about that." He smirked as he looked back down at the paper. "Nah, I am kidding..yea, you can." He shrugged before realizing it's the same work he did the year before..and the year before..and before that. "Wow..well, it turns out I don't have to worry." He mumbled not finding school challenging. It was always the same lectures. He looked at her chocolate bar and shook his head with a cocky grin. "Mmm-nope."

When she finally finished up with all the paperwork, she sighed of relief. She hating signing her signature over and over again. She smiled at the nurse and stood up to hand it to her. Walking up to the front desk, she asked for a pack of bandages and bought them before walking back to the room. Opening the door, she looked up realizing she opened the wrong door as a family looked at her strangely with an injured man on the bed. She chuckled sheepishly and closed the door. "I gotta be better with opening any kind of door." She rolled her eyes at herself before walking over to the right door making sure it was the room number. Opening the door, she looked at Jayden and threw him the pack of bandages. "Put them on..now." She mumbled and she turned to look at Hope. "How are you feeling?"

//Aha, alright!! xD Eh..I will do the same..I just remember it's my aunt's birthday soo...I gotta be awake for that! xD

Hope didn't find Jayden to pleasing with his lack of teasing towards her. "Give!" she reached over, trying to get her chocolate "Your sister gave me that fair and square mister. And, and, and... I was enjoying having sweets for once you try living with out chocolate for three months." Hope had folded her arms pouting at Jayden wanting the chocolate back as his sister walked in asking how she felt "Heartbroken. Jayden took my chocolate away it misses me eating it." she said, grinning slightly. "No, I'm feeling alright but I'm starting to feel the pain in my stomach. Eh, I can manage." Hope placed her hand over her stomach feeling the stitches against her finger "Oh and thank you."

"No." He smirked as she tried to reach over to get the chocolate. "Who said life was fair?" He raised an eyebrow with a small grin. "Besides, I've had to go through a lot worse than chocolate for three months." He mumbled with a roll of his eyes. "Now, let me finish my 'work'. You are letting me concentrate with all your whining." He chuckled not really wanting to do the work,but it was fun teasing her. He then remembered about Hope's house and having to clean up so no one would suspect a thing. The thought of it made him frown before lifting his head as his sister came in,faking a smile.

Audrey raised an eyebrow when Hope said she was heartbroken before rolling her eyes looking at Jayden. "Well,luckily for you I have more." She breathed a small chuckle looking back in her bag taking out another chocolate bar. "Here ya go." She smiled tossing it over to her. When Hope placed a hand on her stomach, she frowned a bit. "Just hold in there...I don't know what you've been through..but by the looks of it, you are lucky to be alive." She gave her a smile before shrugging "No problem..now, I just have to find out when exactly you could be released." She said looking down at her phone as she pushed her hair behind her ear.

Hope lift up the pillow that was behind her back tossing it at Jayden's face before his sister gave her more chocolate. Catching it in her hands, looking up at her with a smile "Thank you, your much nicer than that thing over there." she playfully glared at her 'boyfriend?'. Was he or was he not? Hope couldn't tell so she shrugged it off. If Jayden calls her by the main title of a couple's relationship then and only then will she know? Hope nodded her head at Audery's comment for she was right. If the doctors didn't know what to do she could be head seeing Andrew was a trained hunter. "I think until my face no longer looks like casper the friendly bla and gain color in my cheeks." She wasn't sure 100%. Hope only had two things on her mind and that was Jayden's family. What his mother would say about her staying and Neca.

Jayden flinched when Hope threw a pillow at him before pushing it off of his face and onto the ground. "Wow, a pillow. That's really gonna leave a mark." He said in a sarcastic tone as she playfully glared at him. "And that 'thing' has a name,if you didn't know." He smirked before looking over at Audrey as she spoke. Yep. Hope was lucky to be alive..there was a higher percentage of her dying than there was her living. Luckily, she was alive. Looking back at Hope, he scoffed. "Oh come on. You don't look that bad..nothing a little make-up can't fix." He joked before sighing. He still wasn't sure if bringing her back to his house was the best idea. It would defiantly cause problems.

Audrey placed her phone back in the pocket and breathed a small laugh. "Your welcome?...I guess." She smiled with a small shrug. Looking at Jayden, she made a face. "Hey,it's not funny to be joking on a woman's appearance." She pointed to him "Just a warning." She chuckled,running a hand through the ends of her hair, and looked back at Hope. "But he is kinda right...you don't look that bad..a little pale..but you'll gain your color in no time." She gave her a warm smile and walked over to the window with her arms crossed feeling a bit unsure how her mom would take it. It couldn't be THAT bad though..what is she suppose to do? Leave her in the hospital for who knows how long. Breathing a small sigh, she leaned against the wall. "I think I should be heading home now..it's getting dark." She mumbled,looking out the window.

"I'll remember that if you ever turn white as a ghost to put a little make up on you." she shot back at Jayden smirking at him. Once the nurse came in she looked over at Hope "Let me guess. Dying to go home?" she asked tilting her head to the side as Hope nodded her head yes. "Alright, but first we have to see if you can stand without calling. After all, Hope lost too much it's possible she could be weak for least a few days. "Sir would you like to help me get her out of bed?" Mostly she wanted him to catch Hope if she fell. Pulling the covers off her she waited for the young boy to get up. If only Haylee was here she always gotten much better afterwards.

"Fine then. I wouldn't mind because I would totally pull it off." He mumbled with a small grin. He slouched down on the chair a bit more before sitting up straight when the nurse came him. Jayden raised his eyebrows in surprise at how fast they are willing to see if she could stand or not. He nodded and stood up. Walking over to the bed, he stood there awkwardly. "I don't know what I am suppose to do.." He chuckled sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head.
